Business Development Manager - 12 Month Contract

An opportunity for a 12-month contract has arisen for an enthusiastic, energetic and dedicated Business Development Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Managing Director, the BDM will focus on developing new business avenues that complement our manufacturing capabilities as well as establishing sales for our existing products across Australia and New Zealand.

The position will come with flexibility and autonomy and will require remote working arrangements. This role will be based on an agreed commission of secured work basis, the successful candidate will be rewarded for their success through a generous commission arrangement.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Develop strategies to promote MKS capabilities including business plans, industry trend analysis, competitor analysis and growth strategies to support our products and capabilities;
• Develop new business opportunities to increase revenue and build our customer base to form short term and long term strategic relationships;
• Support internal teams through the delivery phase and customer relationship management;
• Provide input into new product opportunities including market analysis and risk assessments;
• Support continuous improvement of our products and services including identifying other areas of business improvement;
• Other duties as required.

About You

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years' prior industry related business development experience
• Flexibility to work on a commission only basis
• Ability to self-manage and work autonomously
• Highly motivated and achievement/results focused
• Effective communicator with the ability to develop and deliver high quality presentations
• Ability to understand and translate technical drawings and designs
• Proficient in Microsoft suite of software, including Outlook and Microsoft 365 cloud systems
• Preference is for an ABN applicant but not mandatory
